Cooking

 This week I was in the kitchen to help be sou's chef. We cooked a lovely rump steak with seasoning with a side of onion and cabbage grown in the wilrose garden. It was tasty. 

Colossal squid exhibit

I had fun today at the library, looking at the squid exhibit with my discovery group. It was interesting learning about them.

 

Healthy connections

I've enjoyed doing the 6 week healthy connection course. I've learnt some new skills around friendship and relationships. We got to do some roleplying, some creative activities and answering different questions and speaking up about our different opinions. 

Discovery

We had a lovely day spent at Otumoetai Pā learning the history, and seeing the 300year old Titoki Tree.

 

Puppy love dog walk

I had fun going for a big walk, taking the puppy love dogs around Greerton. We got to take a couple of different dogs out this time around. My favourite was named UNO the small Chihuahua. He liked to be carried the whole way because he has a deformed front paw. He was so cute. 

Omanawa falls

 I loved exploring omanawa falls. There was lots of new signs up about the history of the place and birds we could try and spot. It was a challenging walk but I felt good once I had done it because the view was amazing! I sat and did a little bit of mindfulness at the waterfall look out. 

Talent quest practice

 I've been practicing my song that I wrote. It's sounding good and I can't wait to perform it on the day of the talent quest to the judges!

Anzac park

 I had a great morning spent with my friends up at Anzac Park. I played at the playground and relaxed and caught up with what everyone is doing this weekend.

Johnson reserve

 I had a great time exploring the Johnsons reserve. I saw and listened to tui birds, saw some different native trees. For lunch we went to Wiapuna Park and sat under the walnut trees. We collected some walnuts too. It was a great morning out. 

Goal ✅ at Marshall’s Animal Farm

 I had planned to go to Bullswool Park, but they only open in the weekends, thankfully we went to Marshalls Animal Farm, and I got to enjoy all the animals, and take pics on my phone, what an amazing day I had with friends.

Vegies in the garden

 It was great to get our cucumber seedlings and more tomato plants in our wilrose garden today. They are in a nice sunny spot so hopefully the give us lots of produce!

Karaoke

 I had lots of fun in Karaoke this week with the theme " rock and roll" there were so many songs I heard and liked that I haven't heard for ages! Me and my friends sung and danced the afternoon away! "Rock on!".

 It was so nice to go back to Connect 20 again and gave a drink and socialize with my friends
