Christmas Party

What a great day i had with all my friends at the Christmas party. I liked watching the circus tricks and popping my Christmas cracker.

Christmas party

I had fun dancing the day away at the Arohanui Christmas party. It was cool to see circus in a flash again and my favourite part was dancing with all my friends.

Socialising at the Marble Bar

I enjoyed socialising at the Marble Bar with my friends. We shared a drink and talked whilst we had fun paying pool.

Car yards and lunch

I enjoyed getting out and about to check out all the cool cars at different car yards with my mates. We went to the city club for lunch and a game off pool afterwards. It was a great day out!

Mount Hot Pools

I enjoyed my day at the Mount Hot Pools today. I slip, slop, slapped before I got in the water. The water was lovely!

Art for Good Neighbour Xmas Float

We finished our decorations for the Good Neighbour Xmas float and handed them over to Nicola from Good Neighbour. They are going to look great in the Xmas Parade.

Life skills - shopping for Harry Potter Tshirts

I used my own money to go shopping at Kmart and chose a Harry Potter t-shirt. I wanted to get two but I did some maths and realised I could only get one. I tried it on to make sure I got the right size and was confident when I went to pay for it by myself. Woohoo!

Riding a horse!

I had a wonderful time with some of my friends, horse riding. It was a beautiful day, perfect for it.

Birthday Celebrations

I had a good day at the centre on my birthday ...... we made lemonade in the morning and then I sang some of my favourite songs in the afternoon. I also got a muffin and card from my friends. 

Pasifika festival

I enjoyed going to the Pasifika Festival and watching all the beautiful cultural performances, the outfits, the singing and dancing were amazing!

Day at the People’s choice gallery

I did a piece of art and it has been chosen and put up on the wall for the display, I am very proud, check it out...

Socialising

After some hard work back at the centre we got to go to play a game of pool ...... girls vs boys. I practiced paying with money and we all worked on our socialising skills.

Potting

Did some awesome gardening and planting of veggies 🌽, it was fun to do that with my friends.

Pumpkin pie

I helped to make a yummy pumpkin pie in lifeskills for independence. Another group took it to street retreat to help feed the homeless. It felt to good to help out.

Lifeskills - Event finding

We checked out the local paper and also the internet to find local events that we could go to. I found a couple of interesting things.

Dressing up

We were practicing for the Talent Quest and we got to try on our Viking costumes for Culture studies, Scandinavian Vikings, awesome!

Outing to “ Our Place “

I enjoy going out with my friends. This week we went to check out “Our Place” in town.

Disco DJ for the Day

I enjoyed helping DJ Spin for the Wilrose Disco Day. I got everyone moving and shaking and had a dance myself too! It was good learning the skills it takes to be a DJ.

Life skills

I had fun helping with the cafe. We cooked all the food and served it to people.
